Alternatively if your deck is solid enough a resin bound layer can easily be applied, this will result in a surface that is more appealing than wooden decking and available in a range of natural stone aggregates. This also provides a fully permeable high friction surface.

Resin bound deck floor covering also require almost no maintenance and are fantastically easy to clean.
